Why do tennis players bend when they are receiving serves?
Tennis players bend when receiving serves for two main reasons: to increase their reaction time and to gain a tactical advantage. Bending lowers the center of gravity, allowing players to move more quickly to the ball and to reach shots that may otherwise be difficult to get to. Additionally, by bending, players can change their angles of attack, making it more difficult for their opponent to predict their next move.
